Pobeda touches the Belgian ground for the first time

Arriving flight

Pobeda (DP/PBD), subsidiary of Aeroflot, landed for the first time in Belgium, at Ostend on 7 March 2019.

The Russian airline will fly to Moscow Vnukovo from Ostend 3 times per week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The first flight, DP903 operated by Boeing 737-8MCWL VP-BQG landed on time at 16:48L, was full of passengers (182).

CEO of Pobeda : Andrey Kalmykov says ;

“Today is the first flight from Moscow to Ostend (…), it is the first time we land in Belgium, we are an extremly low cost company (also known as ULCC), we are just 4 years old, by using brand new Boeing 737-800 directly delivered from Seattle. (…) We are creating a bridge for Russian citizenships for Belgium (…). As you know, this flight was completly full, 182 passengers boarded for today from Moscow to Ostend, and we are really sure that this flight makes a really good access.”

  • Due to changing circumstances, first picture has been done at “Belair” (press wasn’t allowed to make any picture airside) while the 2nd one has been done in low brightness, outside the airport.

Also, Pobeda has ordered 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8, deliveries in late 2019.
