Flight #TS942 diverted to Newark

Air Transat flight #TS942, from Montréal to Fort Lauderdale had to land at Newark.

The flight, operated by Boeing 737-8Q8 registered C-GTQG had to land earlier than expected due to fire indication at Newark, due to a suspected fire-on-board.

The 737 landed at Newark, and had been evacuated by slides where 2 people have been injured.

The airport closed during the operation but finally reopened.

Another aircraft is on the way to take passengers to Fort Lauderdale.
