New Belgian regional airline on the way ?

According to “De Rijkste Belgen”, ASL Group of The Netherlands plans to create a regional airline at Antwerp.

The website says that after another project at Maastricht under the name “Maastricht Cityliner”, with a regional strategy, the ASL Group wants to create another airline, but this time in Belgium with the same modus operandi.

What’s the name of this project ? Antwerp Cityliner. ASL is looking for a partner to make the Antwerp project and an investor for the Maastricht one.

What could be the goals ? The multiple goals could be to fly to different cities, since the bankrupt and 2nd demise void that VLM Antwerp left, in 2016 and 2018. VLM Airlines was an airline operating from Antwerp with Fokker 50s.

TUI is the only Belgian airline installed at Antwerp, operating with Embraer ERJ-190, but it seems they won’t be more alone in a while…
