Flight SN201, operated by Brussels Airlines Airbus A330-343 OO-SFG from Brussels Zaventem (BRU/EBBR) to Dakar Blaise Diagne (DSS/GOBD) is heading back to Belgium, reason is technical.

The Airbus A330-300 began to turn back to Belgium at around 15:00Z over Portugal, before reaching the Atlantic, and arrived at Brussels at 18:00Z.

The reason is a technical problem but a source told us there were vibrations in both engines.

Brussels Airlines told us OO-SFG went back to Belgium to get quicker the problem solved, as it should have maybe given some delay to the return flight. Passengers have been rebooked while Brussels Airlines offered hotel nights for passengers of SN201.

Already on Friday, another Airbus A330 of Brussels Airlines, OO-SFU, had to turn back due to a computer problem, which was not linked to another incident which happened 1 month ago, when both engines stopped at different moments of a Kinshasa – Brussels flight.
